Control Surveys

Monteith & Sutherland Limited have been regularly provinding horizontal and vertical control networks of varying degrees of accuracy tailored to the need of our clients. We have several precise conventional instruments, including a Leica TCA 1800 which is motor driven and uses digital cameras to automatically recognize its target even in pitch black conditions. This first order instrument reduces eye strain on our operators and increases the speed at which precise measurements can be observed. Least squares adjustment and analysis is routinely performed on the data to ensure the quality of the results.

Monteith & Sutherland Limited have been using precise Global Positioning System (GPS) techniques since 1992 and currently own a Leica GPS 9500 Real Time Surveying System. Precise GPS measurements, combined with conventional measurements, allow us to extend our control networks over large areas while maintaining a high level of positional accuracy.
