Photogrammetric Surveys

Monteith & Sutherland Limited have been actively engaged in providing photogrammetric site plans and base maps to government and industry since 1978 when we became a founding member of Photomap Air Surveys.

Recently landfill capacity has become an issue of concern. Regular monitoring assists in determining the rate at which the site is being filled and it's estimated life span. Monteith & Sutherland Limited have been monitoring landfill capacity for many years using terrestrial and photogrammetric methods for both municipal and industrial clients. Advances in close range photogrammetry have made it an accurate, timely and cost effective alternative to conventional terrain modeling methods. It also has safety advantages where steep slopes, heavy equipment or hazardous materials may be an issue.

Recently, we have obtained colour photography covering the City of Sarnia and surrounding area. Photo mosaics combined with CAD drawings create an effective tool for geographic analysis and planning.
