Sheppard Twin Tunnel Construction Project
In the fall of 1996 Monteith & Sutherland Limited were awarded a Surveying Services Contract with the Toronto Transit Commission and became a member of the quality assurance team for the Sheppard Twin Tunnel Construction Project.
Our duties included:
- Establishment of project wide precise control network
- Deformation monitoring
- Tunnel control and machine alignment
- Cut and cover construction
- Site restoration
Our main duties were completed in November 1999 however we will continue to supply full time track installation and inspection manpower well into the year 2001.
